-outstanding original soundboard refinished with new lacquer
-proper downbearing set with new hand notched bridge cap
-all new action parts: Tokiwa hammershanks/flanges/whippens, NY Steinway hammers, letoff button cloth, Steinway backchecks/wires, NY Steinway Ivoplast keytops, new Kluge real ebony sharps, key bushings, keyboard weigh-off
-all new damper system with new back action, damper felt, damper guide rail bushings
-lyre rebuilt with new pedals/pedal face plate, adjustable pedal rods, NY Steinway pedal pivot rod bushings/rest cushions
-Bolduc 5-ply quartersawn maple pinblock, full fit to case
-Diamond tuning pins, Roslau wire, G.C. bass strings, new hitch pins
-hand rubbed ebony satin with NY Steinway lacquer and finish process, looks identical to a new Steinway
-high gloss polyester finish on fallboard, identical to current production NY Steinway ebony satin pianos
All restoration work performed by Bryan Hartzler, RPT, with 18 years of concert work experience, including positions at the Aspen Music Festival, the Tanglewood Music Festival, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
This piano has absolutely everything you could expect from a high performance Steinway concert instrument. It has plenty of power for a large hall but also has a very responsive action that offers effortless control of the sound in a smaller hall or large room in the home. Featured photographs are taken onstage at the Southern Theater, Columbus Ohio, with the piano on loan for a performance by John Nakamatsu and the Escher Quartet.
Includes padded cover with Steinway and Sons logo, Jansen adjustable artist bench, and standard black concert grand casters. For home use, brass casters can be provided at no additional charge.
